Routine Eye Care

Everyone should have routine eye exams as a part of their overall health and wellness care.

Diabetic Exams

Patients with diabetes should have yearly eye exams to check for diabetic retinopathy. Diabetic eye problems can potentially cause permanent vision loss if not treated appropriately.

Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration is a retinal condition that can lead to severe vision loss. It needs to be watched closely for changes. You can check at home for changes using an Amsler gird or by signing up for KEEP YOUR SIGHT, a new digital interactive monitoring system, in addition to regular eye exams.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is an eye disease that causes painless vision loss over time. Often the pressure inside the eye is too high which causes damage to the optic nerve leading to permanent vision loss. There are several treatments for glaucoma but it requires life long monitoring.

Dry Eye

Dry eye disease is a chronic issue for many patients. Dry eye symptoms include: tearing, redness, itching, burning, blurry vision, light sensitivity and foreign body sensation. Using OTC artificial tears may help but further treatment is often needed.

Long-Term Medication Evaluation

For patients who are on long-term therapy of hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) or other medications that can have ocular complications.
